The Media Society is pleased to announce the first event of its Spring/Summer Season.

It's an online Media Society discussion event: Trump v the Media.

On Tuesday March 25th. 6pm on Zoom.

The media – a long-standing battleground for America’s latest President – is facing tough new challenges. So, how should the media respond?

Indeed, Trump's presidency is having a profound impact on journalism and the media industry. So, our event is timely and highly topical.

Our Panel:

  • Former BBC Radio 4 presenter Ritula Shah (Chair)
  • ITV News Correspondent Robert Moore
  • Guardian US Columnist Margaret Sullivan
  • Media Mix host Claire Atkinson.

You will be able to ask questions when you book a ticket, and during the event itself.

Tickets £10, students free. Book via Eventbrite.

Society News

Meanwhile, the Media Society is very much back in business. As well as our Zoom and in-person events, we are launching our new website early next month (designed by our Director of Marketing Peter Walker), a new membership system in late April, with improved benefits and discounted membership fees, a new Media Society podcast series in May, and a new Media Society Mentoring Scheme later in the year.

We'll keep you updated on developments.
