Please join us next Tuesday evening for an urgent Media Society panel debate via Zoom examining how British journalists view the complexities of covering the Israel/Gaza conflict.
The discussion event is at 6pm online on Tuesday 14th October.
Event Description
With a peace deal agreed, a ceasefire, and the planned return of hostages in exchange for prisoners and detainees, next Tuesday's Media Society Zoom panel discussion couldn't be more topical.
Two years after the October 7th attack and the start of the war, our panel of senior British journalists will explore critical aspects of media coverage of the conflict.
The panel includes:
- Gavin Esler, the former BBC Newsnight presenter (who will chair the event)
- John Ray, the ITV international correspondent and former Middle East Correspondent
- Elena Cosentino, Director of the International News Safety Institute (INSI)
- Richard Burgess, the Director of BBC News Content
- Nick Tattersall, Global Managing Editor, Reuters.
The event will be introduced by the Media Society President Nigel Dacre.
