This is an email for people who have joined the Media Society in the last month.
First of all, thank you for becoming a member of the Media Society. Your support is really important, and it allows us to carry on with our mission to provide an independent and impartial platform for the discussion of important media issues.
It's been a busy start to the year - planning the Spring/Summer events' schedule, holding our first event (a quick turnaround discussion on Iran and the media), and launching the Media Society Mentoring Scheme.
You will have just received the general marketing email, but, as new members, we wanted to make sure you knew about the next two events on our schedule.

Navigating Crisis Communications
Our next in-person discussion event is at 6pm at The Conduit on Tuesday 28th April.
We'll be discussing crisis communications - how organisations should react to crises in the digital era. There will be networking drinks before and after the event.

Deborah Turness: The Sir David Nicholas Lecture
The annual TV News lecture is presented this year by the former BBC CEO Deborah Turness.
An allocation of tickets has been reserved exclusively for Media Society Full Members. The event is at 44 Hallam St, W1W 6JJ on Tuesday 12th May. Doors open 6pm. Pay bar.
